One of the UK’s finest gypsy jazz quartets, Fidelio Hot Club brings together four sought-after musicians from the London jazz scene. Steeped in the music of Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli, the group captures the authentic sound and infectious energy of the 1930s Hot Club tradition while taking the repertoire in imaginative new directions.
Alongside Django classics and original compositions, expect inventive arrangements of music by Dvořák, Tchaikovsky, Piazzolla and David Bowie, all performed with dazzling musicianship, warmth and spontaneity.
The concert celebrates the release of the quartet’s debut EP, following a successful year of touring, live performances on BBC Radio 3 and a popular monthly residency at Fidelio Café in Clerkenwell.
