Charismatic trumpeter and vocalist Sam Chaplin leads an all-star quartet through music by Ray Charles, Nat King Cole and Chet Baker, alongside witty and heartfelt original songs.
Moving effortlessly from soulful ballads to playful audience singalongs, Sam combines accomplished musicianship with a natural ability to connect with a crowd. His performances are warm, spontaneous and full of personality, supported by a quartet featuring some of London’s finest jazz musicians.
Sam has worked with his bandmates for two decades, performing internationally in Monaco, Paris and Dubai. His wider career includes appearances with Kenny Wheeler, Norma Winstone and Bobby McFerrin, as well as presenting concerts at the Royal College of Music and directing choirs.
From swinging standards and tender ballads to original songs filled with humanity and humour, this promises an uplifting evening of first-rate live jazz and irresistible entertainment.
