Internationally acclaimed Mexican-British drummer Migdalia van der Hoven brings her powerhouse quartet back to Toulouse Lautrec for an electrifying night of jazz, groove, and fusion. 

A dynamic performer renowned for her captivating rhythm and musical versatility, Migdalia leads an ensemble that blends sophisticated jazz harmonies with infectious West Coast swing and hard-hitting grooves. 

As a Berklee College of Music alumna, West End performer, and a celebrated figure on the UK jazz scene, Migdalia continues to push boundaries with her bold original work and energising live shows.

We’re thrilled to welcome back The Migdalia van der Hoven Quartet to Toulouse Lautrec as they celebrate the launch of their new EP, Girl Facing South. Expect a vibrant mix of original compositions and fresh takes on contemporary jazz and fusion favourites. With a distinct West Coast feel, the quartet’s music blends catchy melodies, intricate rhythms, and deep grooves that promise to captivate from start to finish.

Led by drummer and composer Migdalia van der Hoven, the quartet showcases her signature style—tight, expressive, and soulful. A Berklee College of Music graduate and UK-based artist, Migdalia has performed on international stages with names such as Yolanda Brown OBE, The Kingdom Choir, and The All Souls Orchestra. She’s also a familiar face in London’s West End, with credits including SIX the Musical, Little Shop of Horrors, and The Royal Shakespeare Company.

Recently, Migdalia unveiled her custom jazz cymbal line "Van der Jazz" in collaboration with RED Cymbals, adding another exciting chapter to her impressive artistic journey.
